Getting Ready

Last night I cleaned out the Fridge to prepare for the January Cleanse. Today I shall venture to Whole Foods to buy healthy foods that fit the Cleanse Diet and Organic Cleansers for the Household purge. I used 2 bags and a box to clean out the fridge - disgusting! I thought we ate fairly healthy until I compared the contents to the organic whole foods diet; so disappointed in us.

Does anyone have any organization recommendations for the bedroom? We have a cedar chest for blankets and I got a new small hamper basket for Christmas. I was thinking about getting some shelves and moving three dressers in there - but our bedroom is very small. Any suggestions on how to keep the Bedroom serene and clutter free? We Clean and Organize the Bedroom tomorrow.
Happy New Year!

Reinventing 30 - 30 Days at a Time Introduction

The new year is just around the corner. I am still unemployed. I am still childless. I am still lost. Therefore this project shall commence on January 1st, 2010 - the 1st day of what will be the 30th year of my life. The Goal of this project is simple - answer these questions:
1.What do I want from life? (goals and hopes)
2.How can I be a better/happier person? (hopefully smarter, thinner, stronger, happier)
3.How can I better serve my family, community, world? (better homemaker, prepared for motherhood, better wife, involved locally and globally)

Easier said than done; right! Especially for an over-educated over-thinker. For January I thought I would go for a traditional "Cleanse" theme. I want to shed the old, cast off the negative of 2009.

Ken is joining me in the January Cleanse project. This project has two aspects - Physical and Environmental.

Physical:
We are doing a 7 day cleanse from GNC starting the 4th and will be following an all organic protein and raw and steamed fruit/vegetable diet for 30 days starting the 1st (we will have to cheat some during our 6th Anniversary trip to Hershey PA).

Environmental:
We are Deep Cleaning and Purging the house. If we haven't used it in 6months it is being sold or donated or tossed. Organization and Sanity shall prevail!

The purpose of this blog is to document my progress on this year long journey. I will attempt to make daily notes (except when I am traveling). Please join us in our journey - it would be nice to have cyber-friends to travel with.
